About this preview
Puffin Mail is developed by Miguel Rodriguez. This website describes the current project and does not offer a public app download, a paid service, a release-date commitment or guaranteed account availability. Features can change during development. Google verification and public-release preparation are pending.
Open source license
Puffin Mail is a fork of Penguin Mail and retains its GPL-3.0-or-later license and applicable copyright notices. The software license, rather than this website's summary, governs your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the software. Nothing on this page restricts the rights granted by that license.
See the GNU General Public License, version 3. As described there, the software is provided without warranty to the extent permitted by law. This does not remove rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Accounts and third-party services
Your mail, calendar, contacts and optional AI services remain governed by the agreements you have with their providers. You are responsible for having permission to access accounts, upload contacts and share information. AI API usage may incur charges from your selected provider. Puffin does not include an OpenAI or Claude subscription.
Review consequential actions
AI responses can be wrong. Review generated text, recipients, attachments, tool requests and proposed changes before approving them. Permanent deletion, messages already sent and information shared with other services may not be recoverable. Keep appropriate backups.
Privacy and contact
The privacy policy explains data use and the limits of local encryption and deletion. Contact [email protected] with support, licensing or privacy questions.
Attribution and independence
Read the project notes for upstream attribution. Puffin Mail is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI or Anthropic. Product names belong to their respective owners. This site does not claim an independent assessment, Google approval or certification.
